Anthracite -
A visually striking and tactile finish, this is created by adding pre-fired, crushed pieces of ceramic and coarse sand to the clay. The end result is a textured, gritty black surface with a lot of depth and variation.
Limestone -
The surface of the clay is lightly textured with coarse sand and left unglazed. It is lightly sponged with an off-white overcoat to give it a subtle dappled effect.
Smoke Fired -
In this method, pieces are fired in an outdoor pit with combustible organic materials such as paper and sawdust. The smoke gets absorbed by the porous ceramic surface leaving behind stunning unpredictable patterns.
